Organized to mark the International Day of the Girl Child, observed on 11 October 2026.

🇬🇧 Short Film Competition 2026 – Full Details

The National Child Protection Authority has organized a short film competition in conjunction with the International Day of the Girl Child, which falls on 11 October 2026.

Talented filmmakers are invited to produce and submit short films based on child protection and social issues. Regular short films and AI-generated short films may be submitted according to the relevant competition category.

🏆 Competition Categories

1. School Section
Students in Grades 9–11 and Grades 12–13 may participate.
AI-generated short films are not allowed in this section.
2. Higher Education Section
University students and students following higher education programmes may participate.
Both regular and AI-generated short films are accepted.
3. Open Section
Professionals and other persons aged 25 years or above may participate.
Both regular and AI-generated short films are accepted.

  • Issues faced by adolescents
  • Special protection for the girl child
  • Internet usage and child abuse
  • Parental love and the proper nurturing of children
  • Teachers’ social responsibility beyond classroom teaching
  • Loss of schooling due to child labour
  • Physical and mental abuse of children through corporal punishment

  • First Place: Award, medal and certificate
  • Second and Third Places: Medal and certificate
  • Selected films will be published through the National Child Protection Authority’s official social media platforms.

📮 How to Submit Your Short Film

Create the short film according to the theme, duration and technical requirements given above.

Save the completed film in MP4 or MOV format and write it onto a DVD.

Place the DVD safely inside a protective cover or envelope. Clearly include the participant’s name, contact number and relevant competition category.

Send or hand-deliver the creation to the National Child Protection Authority at the address below.
5
The creation must reach the National Child Protection Authority on or before 25 September 2026.

2026 ඔක්තෝබර් 11 දිනට යෙදෙන ජාත්‍යන්තර ගැහැණු ළමයාගේ දිනයට සමගාමීව ජාතික ළමා ආරක්ෂක අධිකාරිය විසින් මෙම කෙටි චිත්‍රපට තරඟය සංවිධානය කර ඇත.

  • පාසල් අංශය: 9–11 සහ 12–13 ශ්‍රේණිවල සිසුන්ට සහභාගි විය හැක. AI මගින් නිර්මාණය කළ චිත්‍රපට මෙම අංශයට භාර නොගනී.
  • උසස් අධ්‍යාපන අංශය: විශ්වවිද්‍යාල සහ උසස් අධ්‍යාපන සිසුන්ට සහභාගි විය හැක. සාමාන්‍ය සහ AI නිර්මාණ භාරගනු ලැබේ.
  • විවෘත අංශය: වයස අවුරුදු 25 හෝ ඊට වැඩි වෘත්තිකයන් සහ අනෙකුත් පුද්ගලයන්ට සහභාගි විය හැක. සාමාන්‍ය සහ AI නිර්මාණ භාරගනු ලැබේ.

සාමාන්‍ය කෙටි චිත්‍රපටයක කාලය විනාඩි 5–8ක් විය යුතු අතර AI මගින් නිර්මාණය කළ චිත්‍රපටයක කාලය විනාඩි 2–4ක් විය යුතුය. වීඩියෝව Full HD 1920 × 1080 හෝ 4K, 16:9 ආකෘතියෙන් MP4 හෝ MOV ගොනු වර්ගයකින් සකස් කළ යුතුය.

📮 නිර්මාණය භාරදෙන ආකාරය

  1. සම්පූර්ණ කළ චිත්‍රපටය MP4 හෝ MOV ආකෘතියෙන් සකස් කරන්න.
  2. චිත්‍රපට ගොනුව DVD තැටියකට ඇතුළත් කරන්න.
  3. DVD තැටිය ආරක්ෂිත කවරයක බහා නම, දුරකථන අංකය සහ අදාළ තරඟ අංශය පැහැදිලිව සඳහන් කරන්න.
  4. පහත ලිපිනයට තැපැල් මගින් යොමු කිරීම හෝ භාරදීම සිදු කරන්න.
  5. නිර්මාණය 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 25 දින හෝ ඊට පෙර අධිකාරිය වෙත ලැබිය යුතුය.

2026 ஒக்டோபர் 11ஆம் திகதி அனுஷ்டிக்கப்படும் சர்வதேச பெண் பிள்ளைகள் தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு தேசிய சிறுவர் பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரசபை இந்தக் குறும்படப் போட்டியை ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது.

  • பாடசாலைப் பிரிவு: தரம் 9–11 மற்றும் 12–13 மாணவர்கள் பங்கேற்கலாம். AI மூலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட குறும்படங்கள் இப்பிரிவில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படமாட்டாது.
  • உயர் கல்விப் பிரிவு: பல்கலைக்கழகம் மற்றும் உயர் கல்வியைத் தொடரும் மாணவர்கள் பங்கேற்கலாம். சாதாரண மற்றும் AI மூலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட குறும்படங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும்.
  • திறந்த பிரிவு: 25 வயது அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட தொழில் வல்லுநர்களும் ஏனையவர்களும் பங்கேற்கலாம். சாதாரண மற்றும் AI குறும்படங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும்.

சாதாரண குறும்படத்தின் காலம் 5–8 நிமிடங்களாகவும் AI மூலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட குறும்படத்தின் காலம் 2–4 நிமிடங்களாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும். காணொளி Full HD 1920 × 1080 அல்லது 4K தரத்தில், 16:9 அகலத்திரை அமைப்பில், MP4 அல்லது MOV கோப்பு வடிவத்தில் தயாரிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.

📮 படைப்பைச் சமர்ப்பிக்கும் முறை

  2. குறும்படக் கோப்பை DVD ஒன்றில் பதிவு செய்யவும்.
  3. DVD-ஐ பாதுகாப்பான உறையில் வைத்து, போட்டியாளரின் பெயர், தொலைபேசி இலக்கம் மற்றும் போட்டிப் பிரிவைத் தெளிவாகக் குறிப்பிடவும்.
  4. கீழே குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள முகவரிக்குத் தபால் மூலம் அனுப்பவும் அல்லது நேரடியாகக் கையளிக்கவும்.
  5. படைப்பு 2026 செப்டெம்பர் 25ஆம் திகதி அல்லது அதற்கு முன்னர் அதிகாரசபைக்குக் கிடைக்க வேண்டும்.

Applications are invited for the University Student Ambassador National Programme 2026 organized by the National Child Protection Authority to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes of university students on child protection.

Final year students are not eligible for this programme.

Main Objectives

✔ Create a responsible youth community for child protection

✔ Improve awareness on national child protection policies

✔ Develop student knowledge, skills and attitudes on child protection

✔ Involve students in preventing child abuse and supporting child-friendly environments

✔ Work with school ambassador programmes and NCPA officers
