📘 About the Programme
The University of Tsukuba, Japan has invited applications for its Program in Economic and Public Policy (PEPP) for the 2027–2029 intake.
PEPP is an English-taught postgraduate programme leading to a Master of Arts in International Public Policy. The programme is designed to develop professionals capable of designing, analysing and implementing economic and public policies.
The programme gives particular emphasis to economics, econometrics, quantitative policy analysis and modern data-driven approaches.

Applicants should carefully check the separate eligibility requirements and conditions of each scholarship programme.
📝 Academic Requirements During the Programme
Students undertake advanced coursework and research in economics and public policy and are required to prepare a master's thesis based on rigorous quantitative analysis.
Students who successfully complete the required coursework (at least 30 credits) and pass the thesis oral examination will be awarded the MA in International Public Policy.

Applications must be submitted directly to the University of Tsukuba / programme authorities according to the official Application Guidelines.
The Sri Lankan Department of External Resources (ERD) does not receive or process applications for this programme.
Government officers applying through their respective institutions should also follow any nomination and documentation requirements communicated by the Department of External Resources.
