The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA), University of Colombo invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for permanent academic positions.

Vacancies are available for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions in four subject areas.

📚 Subject Areas

🎓 Educational Qualifications – Summary

1️⃣ Lecturer (Probationary)

Applicants should possess an appropriate degree with specialization in the relevant subject field.

• First Class or Second Class Upper Division Honours Degree in the relevant field; or
• Second Class Lower Division Honours Degree in the relevant field; or
• Other degree and postgraduate qualification combinations such as a relevant Doctoral Degree or qualifying Master's Degree as specified in the official recruitment notice.

Preference will be given to applicants having relevant university-level teaching experience.

2️⃣ Lecturer (Unconfirmed)

Applicants should possess the required relevant degree together with the postgraduate / professional qualifications specified in the official notice.

• Doctoral Degree in the relevant field; or
• Relevant Master's Degree meeting the required study duration and research component; or
• Other qualifications approved under the applicable UGC requirements.
• Less than 06 years experience in specified areas such as university teaching, professional experience, research or postgraduate studies.

3️⃣ Senior Lecturer Grade II

Applicants should possess the required academic and postgraduate qualifications together with at least 06 years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience may include university-level teaching, professional experience, research in a recognized institution and postgraduate studies as specified in the official notice.

4️⃣ Senior Lecturer Grade I

Applicants should possess the specified academic and postgraduate qualifications together with at least 12 years of relevant experience.

Of the required experience, not less than 06 years should have been completed after obtaining the postgraduate / professional qualification specified in the official recruitment scheme.

💰 Salary Scale

Salary Code: U-AC 3

✅ Government-approved allowances applicable to the University system will also be paid.
