Official Report Overview

The Department of Examinations has published the performance analysis of candidates who sat the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination 2025. The report includes national results, A/L qualification rates, nine-A results, province and district rankings, education-zone performance, school-level distribution and subject pass rates.
Important: The analysis is based on examination data collected before the re-scrutiny process. Results that were withheld were not considered in the analysis.

2025 අ.පො.ස. සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ විභාගයට අපේක්ෂකයින් 404,655 දෙනෙකු පෙනී සිට ඇත. විෂයයන් පහක් හෝ වැඩි ගණනකට පෙනී සිටි අපේක්ෂකයින් අතරින් 235,149 දෙනෙකු උසස් පෙළ සඳහා සුදුසුකම් ලබා ඇති අතර එය 71.13%කි.

පළමු වරට පෙනී සිටි පාසල් අපේක්ෂකයින් අතරින් 225,748 දෙනෙකු හෙවත් 73.16%ක් උසස් පෙළ සඳහා සුදුසුකම් ලබා ඇත.

The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has announced that the results of the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examination 2025 (2026) were released on 19 June 2026.

Candidates can access the Exam Information Centre using their National Identity Card number and view or download their individual Result Schedule.

School Principals

Principals can log in using the username and password issued for submitting examination applications. They can download the result register of their school and obtain a printed copy.

Provincial and Zonal Directors of Education

Provincial and Zonal Directors can use the accounts provided to them to download or view the results of schools within their respective province or education zone.

Applications for re-scrutiny of GCE O/L 2025 (2026) results can be submitted online from 23 June 2026 to 8 July 2026.

The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has announced that the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination – 2025 (2026) Practical Examinations for Aesthetic Subjects will be held from 22.04.2026 to 04.05.2026. A total of 1,198 examiner panels will be active island-wide for 162,587 candidates. Candidates offering aesthetic subjects must appear for both the written and practical examinations to receive results.

The practical examinations for Aesthetic Subjects of the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination – 2025 (2026) will be conducted from April 22, 2026 to May 4, 2026. A total of 1,198 examiner panels will function island-wide for 162,587 candidates.

Mandatory Participation

Results for Aesthetic Subjects are determined by combining marks from both the written examination and the practical examination. Therefore, candidates must appear for both. Candidates who fail to attend the practical examination will not receive a result for that subject.

Admission Cards

Admission cards and time schedules for school candidates have been sent to the respective School Principals. For private candidates, admission cards have been posted to the addresses provided in their applications.

Admission cards can also be downloaded from www.doenets.lk starting from 10.04.2026 by entering the index number.

Corrections and Missing Admissions

If there are any errors in the subject or medium of language on the admission card, School Principals and private candidates must immediately inform the School Examinations Organization and Results Branch of the Department of Examinations.

If the admission card has not been received, Principals and private candidates should contact the department with the school number / index number and the relevant subject details.
