The British Council and the Ministry of Education have decided to conduct the competition of English Language Assessment to all secondary English Language teachers and Teacher Educators.

  • to give teachers and teacher educators practice in developing speaking and listening assessment tasks.
  • to develop a bank of speaking and listening test items that can be used ins secondary school in Sri Lanka.

NLQ Exam for Public Servants




Applications are invited for National Language Qualifications exam from interested government servants.

Blow allowances will be given according to the marks given on the exam,
80 - 100 Marks : 25 000
65 - 79 Marks : 20 000
50 - 64 Marks : 15 000

and one salary increment will be given.

NOT COMPULSORY, Interested persons can apply.

Exam will be held 4 times per annum.

Exam Fee 3000

Applicants can apply anytime.
