• Total Recruitment: 3000 Trainees.

• Training Duration: 03 Years Full-Time.
• Medium of Instruction: English.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

• Passed G.C.E. O/L with 09 subjects.
• Credit Passes for Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics, Science and English.
• Must be completed within not more than two sittings.
• A/L completed in 2021, 2022, 2023 or 2024.
• Biological Science or Physical Science Stream candidates only.

🧪 Eligible A/L Subject Streams

• Biological Science: Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Physics, Mathematics.
• Physical Science: Combined Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Mathematics.
• Must have passed 03 subjects in one sitting.
• General English and Common General Test are not considered.

👨‍⚕️ Other Eligibility Requirements

• Sri Lankan Citizen.
• Age between 18 and 28 years on 29.05.2026.
• Minimum Height: 147.3 cm (4'10").
• Must be unmarried.
• Both Male and Female candidates can apply.
• Physically and mentally fit.

❌ Not Eligible to Apply

• Students currently following full-time university degree programmes.
• Students enrolled in National Colleges of Education.
• Students following full-time courses under Ministry of Health or other government institutions.
• Married or divorced applicants.
• Applicants providing false information.

💰 Application Fee

• Application Fee: Rs. 1000.
• Must be paid at a Bank of Ceylon Branch.
• Online banking and cash deposit machines are NOT accepted.
• Keep the original receipt for interview verification.

• G.C.E. O/L Result Sheet.
• G.C.E. A/L Result Sheet with Z-Score.
• Bank Payment Receipt.
• Two active mobile numbers.
• Email Address.
• Residence Certificate.
• Birth Certificate.
• School Leaving Certificate.

⚠️ Important Instructions

• Only one application can be submitted.
• Application must be completed in English.
• Use the same NIC used for the A/L Examination.
• A copy of the submitted application must be received by email.
• Download and print the application copy.
• If the application copy is not received by email, contact the Ministry immediately.

🎯 Selection Method

• District-based recruitment system.
• Selection based on Z-Score ranking.
• 95% Female and 5% Male allocation.
• Interview will verify qualifications and physical fitness.

💵 Benefits During Training

• Monthly allowance will be paid during training.
• Training conducted in recognized nursing schools.
• Opportunity for government employment after successful completion.
• Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 10 years after appointment.
