Vacancy Announcement

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the post of Programmer – Junior Level Management.

Candidates who possess the required Information Technology qualifications and professional experience may submit their applications before the closing date.

Educational Qualifications

A Degree in Information Technology from a recognized university.

A Degree from a recognized university together with a Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized professional institution.
The duration of the Information Technology Diploma must be at least one year.

Information Technology includes areas such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Management Information Systems.

Required Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar position.
The experience should have been obtained from a reputed public or private sector organization.

Salary and Remuneration

Salary Category: 5.0 – Junior Level Management
Basic Salary: Rs. 75,065 per month
Annual Increment: Rs. 1,440
Approximate Gross Monthly Salary: Rs. 170,000, inclusive of allowances

Age Limit

Applicants should be below 45 years of age on the closing date.

The age limit does not apply to applicants currently serving in Government Departments or State Corporations.

Service Conditions

Selected candidates must comply with all existing and future rules and regulations of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
Selected candidates may be required to serve in any division or section of the Authority.
Candidates may also be required to serve in any part of Sri Lanka according to the requirements of the Authority.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

🧠 Experience Required

Minimum of Five (05) years experience in software engineering, development, and system implementation
Experience in web-based application development, database management, and system integration
Experience in cybersecurity practices and API development
Experience in healthcare system design and development, including digital platform integration, with strong exposure to payment gateway integration

📌 Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and maintain software systems and digital platforms of the SLMC
Ensure database integrity, system security, and compliance with data protection requirements
Develop and maintain APIs and integrate external services such as payment gateways and SMS systems
Perform system testing, deployment, and maintenance
Provide technical support, user training, and documentation
Carry out any other duties assigned by the management of the SLMC

Age: As per the Government Circulars

Salary: The salary and other emoluments shall be as determined by the Medical Council

Method of Recruitment: Selection will be made through a structured interview
