Applications Called for the 2026/2027 Intake
The Department of National Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, under the Ministry of Environment, has invited applications for its Landscaping Technician Training Course leading to NVQ Level 4.
This full-time, Sinhala-medium programme provides theoretical, practical and workplace training in floriculture and landscaping. The programme is offered free of charge.

Entry Qualification
Applicants should have passed six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings, including Sinhala or Tamil and Mathematics. Applicants must check the official notice to confirm the complete subject and pass requirements before applying.
Training Structure
- First 4 months: Full-time theoretical and practical training in floriculture and landscaping.
- Next 6 months: Workplace training at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, or another institution relevant to the field.
Those who successfully complete the course and pass the relevant practical and theoretical assessments will be eligible to receive an NVQ Level 4 certificate.

සිංහල සාරාංශය
පරිසර අමාත්යාංශයේ ජාතික උද්භිද උද්යාන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, පේරාදෙණිය මගින් පවත්වනු ලබන උද්යාන අලංකරණ ශිල්පී පුහුණු පාඨමාලාව (NVQ 4) සඳහා 2026/2027 කණ්ඩායමට අයදුම්පත් කැඳවා ඇත. මාස 10ක මෙම පූර්ණකාලීන පාඨමාලාව සිංහල මාධ්යයෙන් නොමිලේ පැවැත්වේ. පළමු මාස 4 තුළ න්යායික හා ප්රායෝගික පුහුණුවත්, ඊළඟ මාස 6 තුළ කාර්යස්ථ පුහුණුවත් ලබාදේ. වයස් සීමාව අවුරුදු 18–35 අතර වන අතර අයදුම්පත් භාරගන්නා අවසන් දිනය 2026.10.09 වේ.
