🎓 Nipunatha Saviya Benefit Scheme 2026
For children of active Employees’ Trust Fund members who sat for the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination
Financial assistance for approved vocational training courses
💰 Benefit Offered
- Financial assistance of up to Rs. 50,000.
- Available for one approved vocational training course.
- The scheme covers selected courses recognized at NVQ Levels 3, 4 and 5.
- Courses must be conducted by training institutions registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
✅ Basic Qualifications
- The applicant should be a student who sat for the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination. Passing the examination is not essential.
- Both school candidates and external candidates may apply. An external candidate should not be more than 23 years of age.
- The student’s mother, father or legal guardian should have been an active ETF member when the student sat for the examination in December 2025.
- Contributions should have been paid continuously on behalf of the relevant member from January 2025 to December 2025.
- For children of active ETF members registered under self-employment, contributions should have been paid continuously for approximately 36 months before the month of the examination.
- If both parents are ETF members, only one parent should submit the application.
- A student is entitled to receive this financial assistance only once.
📘 Eligible Courses
Applicants may select one course from the approved vocational training programmes recognized at NVQ Levels 3, 4 or 5.
Applicants should carefully check the approved course and training-institution lists published by the Employees’ Trust Fund Board.
💳 Course Fee Payment
Subject to the official conditions, the course fee may be paid directly to the approved training institution or reimbursed after successful completion of the course.
The course registration fee must be paid by the applicant and is not reimbursed.
📄 Main Documents Required
- Application form completed and certified by the current employer
- Clear copy of the student’s National Identity Card
- Clear copy of the student’s birth certificate
- Student’s G.C.E. Advanced Level examination index number
- Clear copy of the ETF member’s National Identity Card
- Proof of legal guardianship, when the applicant is a guardian
- Any additional certified documents requested by the ETF Board
