Applications are invited from suitable candidates to follow the Higher Diploma in Dental Technology offered by the Dental Auxiliary Training School, Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya.

Entry Requirements

A minimum Pass in English Language at G.C.E. (O/L) and passes in three subjects at G.C.E. (A/L) or an equivalent examination; or
Completion of NVQF Level 5 as determined by the Dental Auxiliary Training School, or a foundation course equivalent to SLQF Level 2; or
Three years of work experience as a Dental Technician.

Candidates must pass the aptitude test conducted by the Dental Auxiliary Training School.
Candidates must not be more than 30 years of age on 11 October 2026.

The Department of National Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, under the Ministry of Environment, has invited applications for its Landscaping Technician Training Course leading to NVQ Level 4.

This full-time, Sinhala-medium programme provides theoretical, practical and workplace training in floriculture and landscaping. The programme is offered free of charge.

Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology

Applicants must have successfully completed a full-time CGTTI course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade with NVQ Level 4.

Computer Numerical Controlled Manufacturing Technology

Applicants must have successfully completed a full-time CGTTI course in Machinist (General) with NVQ Level 4.

Electrical Technology

Applicants must have successfully completed a full-time CGTTI course in Power Electrician Trade with NVQ Level 4.

Industrial Millwright Technology

Applicants must have successfully completed a full-time CGTTI course in Millwright Technician Trade with NVQ Level 4.

Welding Technology
