📅 Interview Dates & Venues

The Ministry states that information on interview dates, times and venues will be displayed on the relevant official websites during 15 October – 30 October 2026.

Eligible candidates will also be informed in writing using the addresses provided in their examination applications.

📢 Principal Vacancies – National Schools

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has invited applications from qualified Grade I officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service to fill vacant principal positions in national schools.

✅ Basic Eligibility

Applicants must be Grade I officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service.
Applicants should not be over 58 years of age on the closing date.
Applicants must satisfy all conditions stated in the official notice.

📝 Selection

Suitable officers will be selected through an interview conducted according to the approved interview marking scheme.

📮 Application Submission

Completed applications should be sent by registered post to the Secretary, Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Isurupaya, Battaramulla, to reach on or before 30 September 2026.

Applicants should carefully read the official notice, check the school vacancy list and interview marking scheme, and use the prescribed application form.

The possibility of receiving a transfer is generally higher when the principal recommends release without a replacement.
If the recommendation is release with a replacement, the possibility of receiving a transfer may be lower when a suitable replacement is unavailable.

ජාතික පාසල් වාර්ෂික ගුරු ස්ථාන මාරුව සඳහා අයදුම් කළ ගුරුවරුන්ට, තම අයදුම්පත සම්බන්ධයෙන් විදුහල්පතිගේ නිර්දේශය මාර්ගගතව පරීක්ෂා කළ හැකිය.

ආදේශකයෙකු නොමැතිව මුදා හැරීමට නිර්දේශ කර ඇත්නම්, ස්ථාන මාරුව ලැබීමේ හැකියාව සාමාන්‍යයෙන් වැඩිය.
ආදේශකයෙකු සහිතව මුදා හැරීමට නිර්දේශ කර ඇති අවස්ථාවක සුදුසු ආදේශකයෙකු නොලැබුණහොත්, ස්ථාන මාරුව ලැබීමේ හැකියාව අඩු විය හැකිය.

National School Annual Teacher Transfers 2026

The Ministry of Education has released the NEMIS Teacher Human Resource Management information of teachers identified as eligible for consideration under the compulsory transfer process connected with the National School Annual Teacher Transfers 2026.

The official document contains information generated through the Teacher Human Resource Management Portal – NEMIS. It displays teachers whose recorded service duration at the listed school is greater than eight years as at 30 June 2026.

Important Clarification

This document provides information on teachers whose recorded duration is greater than eight years. It should not automatically be interpreted as a final transfer order.

The PDF does not mention a new school, transfer destination or effective transfer date. Teachers should follow subsequent official instructions issued by the Ministry of Education concerning corrections, appeals, exemptions and final transfer decisions.
