Qualifications

An officer not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Captain of the Army or equivalent rank in other Armed Services.
OR
A degree from a recognized university / HEI with not less than 05 years of experience in security work.

Salary Scale

U-EX 1(II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 x 2,020 - 91,365 (EB) 93,765; 12 x 2,400 - 122,565 p.m.

Method of Recruitment

Selection will be made by a structured interview. Applicants who score 40% or above at the structured interview are eligible to be considered for selection.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has informed applicants that they can change the order of “Uni-Codes”, add new Uni-Codes, or remove selected Uni-Codes online after the closing date of applications. Applicants must complete the process within the given period and send the signed printed copy to the UGC by registered post.

Important Information

Applicants can change the order of “Uni-Codes” online after the closing date of applications.
You can also add new Uni-Codes or remove previously selected Uni-Codes.
This facility is available only once within two weeks after the closing date of applications.
The printed copy of the new Uni-Code order must be signed and sent to the UGC by registered post.
If the signed copy is not sent within the given period, the previous Uni-Code order will be considered for university selection.
The signature on the new printed copy must match the signature used in the first application.

Important : By changing the order of Uni-Codes, your previous order of preference will be cancelled and selections will be based only on the new order submitted by you.

The Department of Examinations has announced an important update regarding the release of the GCE Ordinary Level 2025 (2026) Examination results. Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Liyanage stated that the evaluation of answer scripts has already been completed and the remaining official processes are currently underway. According to the latest information, the GCE O/L 2025 results may be released by the middle of June 2026.

Applicants should possess MBBS or equivalent degree with SLMC registration.

Senior Lecturer applicants should possess relevant postgraduate qualifications, board certification or PhD qualifications relevant to the subject area.

Salary Scale

Lecturer (Probationary)
Rs. 94,400 – 118,400 p.m.

Lecturer (Unconfirmed)
Rs. 121,340 – 136,040 p.m.

Senior Lecturer Grade II
Rs. 138,980 – 171,320 p.m.

Senior Lecturer Grade I
Rs. 160,520 – 187,820 p.m.

Government approved allowances applicable to the university system will also be paid.
