🇬🇧 JDS Scholarships 2026 – English

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education (Higher Education Division) has announced the opportunity for eligible Sri Lankan public sector officers to apply for JDS Scholarships to pursue Master's degrees in Japan for the academic year 2027/2028.

The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) is supported by Japanese Grant Aid.

✅ Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
• Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
• Must be below 40 years of age as of 1 April 2027.
• Executives or Senior Executives specified in Public Administration Circular No. 06/2006, Annexure II, page 2, IV Senior Level, and pages 5, 3.10 and 3.11.
• Officers of the Sri Lanka All-Island Services (as per PSC Rules No. 2310/29 dated 14 December 2022) and Sri Lanka Foreign Service who have completed their probation and have been confirmed in service.
• Officials holding managerial positions or functions at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
• Applicants are expected to demonstrate a special interest in studying in Japan and motivation to use the experience and professional network gained through JDS.

State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) employees are not eligible for JDS. Refer to the official brochure for all conditions.

📝 Application Procedure

1. Visit the official JDS scholarship website.
2. Read the Application Guidelines carefully.
3. Download the application form and relevant documents.
4. Complete the application form.
5. Arrange the required documents.
6. Submit the application through the applicant's ministry or organization to the ERD, as instructed in the official brochure.

Selection stages: Document screening, medical check, technical interview, comprehensive interview and final selection.

Important: Only shortlisted applicants will proceed through the relevant selection stages.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සුදුසුකම් ලත් රාජ්‍ය අංශයේ නිලධාරීන්ට 2027/2028 අධ්‍යයන වර්ෂය සඳහා ජපානයේ ශාස්ත්‍රපති උපාධි පාඨමාලා හැදෑරීමට JDS ශිෂ්‍යත්ව සඳහා අයදුම් කිරීමට අවස්ථාව ලබා දී ඇත.

අධ්‍යාපන, උසස් අධ්‍යාපන හා වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් මෙම අවස්ථාව පිළිබඳ දැනුම් දී ඇත.

இலங்கையின் தகுதியுடைய அரச துறை உத்தியோகத்தர்கள் 2027/2028 கல்வியாண்டில் ஜப்பானில் முதுமாணிப் பட்டப்படிப்புகளைப் பயில்வதற்கான JDS புலமைப்பரிசில்களுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும்.

கல்வி, உயர்கல்வி மற்றும் தொழிற்கல்வி அமைச்சு இந்தப் புலமைப்பரிசில் வாய்ப்பு குறித்து அறிவித்துள்ளது.

• 🇯🇵 கல்வி கற்கும் நாடு – ஜப்பான்
