Objectives

Resolving the inequalities in the selection of subject streams at the G.C.E. A/L
Creating science scholars from the higher education to suit the demand in the current job marketProviding the students with the technical skills needed for day to day life
Generating the skills within the students to find technical solutions for real world problems

International Child Art Competition 2019

Children across the nation are cordially invited to participate in the first ever online child art competition organised by Child Art Foundation of Italy

Young artists within four age groups can take part the international art competition with art works n water colours, pastels, pencils, acrylic, crayons or paper cuttings, oil paints,charcoal,colour Pencil etc. on any type of paper or canvas sheet within the dimensions of an A2. Participants are given the liberty to create art works under any theme.

Closing Date 25.01.2019

Eligibility
Minimum 50 entries are expected from participating schools and institutes. In case of individual entry, 5 is the minimum requirements

Group A - 6 and below (Primary)
Group B - 7 - 9 Years (Junior)
Group C - 10 - 13 Years (Intermediate)
Group D - 14 - 18 Years (Senior)

Rewards

Supreme Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and awards will be given to achievers

OL Answer Script Evaluation in two Stages

Evaluation process of answer scripts will be conducted in two stages.

First Stage will be commence on December 23 and continue till January 1 at 123 evaluation centers at government schools countrywide.

The Second stage of the answer script evaluation will commence From January 8 to January 17 at six centers.

Nearly 700 000 candidates appeared for the OL examination countrywide. Police Headquarters confirmed that the police had arrested five suspects for committing misdeeds,malpractices and fraud at the examination centers while answering question papers.

The Results of these suspects would be cancelled and not to be issued. They would be not allowed to sit for public examinations for five years.
