Online Application : Pharmacist (External) Exam

The Paharmacist External exam for pharmacist apprentices who have comleted two year apprenticeship will be held on 23, November, 2019. Only apprentices who have completed two years of apprenticeship by 20, October, 2019 are eligible to apply. Those who do not acheive a satisfactory standard acceptable to the Ceylon Medical College Council at the written examnation will not be called for the practical and viva voce examinations.

Tamil Translator/Interpreter (Female/Male)

Applications are invted for Tamil Translator from US Embassy.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time - 40 hours per week

Basic Function of the Position: Translate and interpret between English and Tamil languages. Provide professional-level translations of technical and non-technical official documents, official speeches, and press releases. Provide simultaneous interpretation during meetings, events, and VIP visits.

Expereinece

At least two years of experience is required in both written translation and simultaneous oral interpretation.

Education Requirements:Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences OR Linguistics / Translation Studies required.
Also, must be a certified Professional Translator.

Salary 102 315 per Month

Selected principals asked to attend below two places respectively, according to thier current working Province.

Maharagama Central College - Sabaragamuwa, North Central, Southern, Central and Uva Provinces

Written and practical exam will be held after the trainin programme, and anyonw who failed the exam will be placed back to SLTS.

Admission of Teachers to the Universities

APPLICATIONS are invited from teachers in Government and Government approved private schools, who have passed the General Arts Qualifying (External) Examination (with English as a subject) and the fi rst Examination of Bachelor of Science (External) Degree Programme for admission to the Universities of Sri Lanka to follow the below-mentioned courses in the Academic Year 2018/2019.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree program with English as a subject.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree program.

The applicants should have completed the following qualifications

The teachers who expect to apply for the Arts Degree programs should have passed the General Arts Qualifying (External) Examination (with English as a subject) and the first Examination of Bachelor of Science (External) Degree Programme held in or after the year 2014.
The teachers who expect to apply for the Bio-science, Physical Science or Applied Science programs should have passed the fi rst Examination of Bachelor of Science (External) Degree Programme held in or after the year 2014.
Should have completed a service period of five years as a teacher as at the last date of receiving applications. Also, the relevant teaching appointment should have been confirmed.

Granting Permanent Appointments to Employees, who have been recruited on Temporary, Casual (Daily), Substitute, Contract or Relief Basis

It has been decided at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on 17.09.2019 to bring the Public Administration Circulars No: 25/2014 and 25/2014(i) again into effect so as to be able to confirm the officers, who have satisfied the qualifications as at 01.09.2019 considering it as the date on which the qualifications mentioned in the Public Administration Circulars No: 25/2014 and 25/2014(i) should be satisfied, with effect from the said date subjected to the conditions indicated in i and ii below.

i. Granting permanent and pensionable appointments to the officers, who are able to fulfill the requirements that should be fulfilled for the pension under the Minutes on Pensions, after granting permanent appointments in the above manner.

ii. Granting permanent appointments under the Employees’ Provident Fund to the officers, who are unable to fulfill the requirements mentioned in i above.
