World Cancer Day - 4th February 2019
Cancer affects everyone in different ways and everyone has the power to take actions to reduce the impact of the disease on individuals families and communities
every year 4th of February is declared as the world cancer day to save millions of preventable deaths by raising awareness and education about the disease and pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action
the tagline for the campaign in 2019 to 2021 is "I am and I will"
සෑම වසරකම පෙබරවාරි 7 වන දිනය ලෝක පිළිකා දිනය ලෙස නම් කර සියලු දෙනා තුළම පිළිකා පිළිබඳව විශේෂ අවධානය යොමු කිරීමට පියවරගෙන ඇත. එහි අරමුණ වන්නේ වළක්වාගත හැකි පිළිකා හේතුවෙන් මිය යන මිලියන ගණනක් ජීවිත සුරැකීමට රාජ්‍ය මට්ටමෙන් මෙන්ම පුද්ගල මට්ටමෙන් ද ක්‍රියාත්මක වී දැනුවත්කිරීම වැඩසටහන් ද ඇතුළුව විවිධ වැඩසටහන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම වේ
2019 වසරේ සිට 2021 වසර දක්වා වන වසර තුන සඳහා ලෝක පිළිකා දිනයේ තේමාව වන්නේ "මම ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙමි, අද මෙන්ම හෙටත් යන්නයි"
ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டிலும் பெப்ரவரி 4 ஆம் திகதியை உலக புற்றுநோய் தினமாக பிரகடனப்படுத்தி அனைவரும் புற்றுநோய் பற்றி விசேட கவனம் செலுத்துவதற்கு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதன் நோக்கமாக அமைவது தடுத்துக் கொள்ளக் கூடிய புற்று நோய்கள் காரணமாக மரணிக்கின்ற மில்லியன் கணக்கான மக்களின் உயிர்களை பாதுகாப்பதற்கு அரச மட்டத்திலும் அதேபோன்று தனியார் மட்டத்திலும் செயற்பட்டு விழிப்பூட்டல் நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்டங்கள் அடங்கலாக பல்வேறுபட்ட நிகழ்ச்சித்திட்டங்களை அமுல்படுத்துவது ஆகும்
2019ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் 2021-ம் ஆண்டு வரையிலான மூன்று வருட காலப் பகுதிக்குரிய உலக புற்றுநோய் தினத்தின் தொனிப் பொருளாக அமைவது "நான் செயல்படுகிறேன், இன்று போன்றே நாளையும்" என்பதாகும்

It is the 1309th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema.

Police Reports online - for various visa and other overseas job opportunities
The police stated that all police reports pertaining to various visa and other overseas job opportunities could be obtained online and there is no requirement to hand over such applications physically to police stations.
The online service was launched in 2017 by the Police Department, but many applicants do not use this service and instead physically hand over their applications to relevant police stations. Hence, it creates congestion at these police stations resulting in the public being inconvenienced.
There fore the police notified the public to apply for their police reports online.

Practical Exam will be held in the Colombo Medical Faculty Physiology Department (BLOCK D) Laboratory 2 on the first floor. Candidates should arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time for the practical Test.
