Student Mapping Competition 

Students in any ages could participate in the competition. They could email us information of a geographically, culturally, economically and socially important or significant place/ locations from their own surroundings to our e-mail address (gisday2018@gislk.com) to reach us on or before 25th October 2018. Location details including the Geographical coordinates, a picture and a small description about it especially it’s significant. The details of the participants (Name, date of birth, Address, contact number of the student & name of school) should be sent along with; the specimen of the relevant form is attached herewith.

Certificates and special gifts will be awarded to selected students by a special panel of judges. Award ceremony details & winner details will be informed in due course.

National Essay Competition has been organized by the Sustainable Development Unit of the Presidential Secretariat in partnership with lake House Newspapers. Entries are accepted in Sinhala, Tamil and English and are divided into two categories.
