A Sub-Committee to formulate a "Charter for ensuring Patients' Safety and Well-being" was set up in Parliament on 19th October 2023 by the Hon. Mayantha Dissanayake, Member of Parliament, the Chair of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Health established in terms of Standing Order 111 of the Parliament.  

As the Committee is focused on considering public views and suggestions prior to formulating the final draft of the relevant Charter general public, other interested parties and organizations may submit their views and suggestions regarding matters to be included in the Charter to the e-mail address: sochealth@parliament.lk or via post

Applications are invited for Master of Education (MEd) degree programme conducted by the PGIHS from eligible candidates who are currently employed at government or private schools, pirivena or other educational institutes with following qualifications:

Qualifications 

Criteria 1 
Bachelors' degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Education with a merit or distinction pass obtained from a recognized University/Institute.

Criteria 2
Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree [1st or 2nd Class (Upper Division)] obtained from a recognized University/Institute.

Notes:
  1. Selection for the Programme will be based on a selection test and an interview.
  2. The final decision will be taken by the Board of Study.
  3. An adequate knowledge of English language is expected.

Confirmation Letter of NIC (ONLINE)


Department of Registration of Persons has released special notice on NIC Confirmation Letter. The Department says that GCE O/L 2023 Students who have applied for the National Identity Card and havve not recieved the Information Confirmation Letter can obtain the letter via onlien without visiting the deartment.

Information confirmation letter issued to applicants born between 2005.02.01 to 2008.01.31 who applied for National Identity Card has now been sent to all applicants by post. If the applicant has not mentioned the correct address in the application form or has not yet received it due to any other reason, it is facilitated to download it by visiting the official website of the Department of Registration of Persons

TO Download the Confirmation Letter applicant should enter the Application Number and OTP received to the Mobile number mentioned in the application. Department request to take a colour print of the document.
