Islandwide Schools Art & Essay Competition

Natonal Housing development Authority has organized Islandwide schools art and essay competition.

Schools Arts Competition

Competition Groups

Group One - Grade 03, 04 and 05

Group Two - Grade 06, 07, 08 and 09

Group Three - Grade 10, 11, 12 and 13

Arts creations submitted for the Arts Competition should be prepared on a paper 17" x 22" in size. Any colour medium such as pastal, water colours or pencils can be used.

Schools Essay Competition

Medium - 01. Sinhala 02. Tamil

Group One - Grade 6, 7, 8 and 9

Number of words - Maximum 300 words

Group Two - Grade 10, 11, 12 and 13

Number of words - Maximum 500 words

School students can submit their drawings for Arunalu Siththam Children's Art Competition - 2025.

Rules

One Student can submit only one Drawing
Winners will be selected Provincial and National Level.
If the submitted drawing is selected as a winner or to the final round, you will be required to send us the original drawing upon notification, along with a certification from your Principal, Vice Principal, Grama Niladari or a lawyer as a part of the verification process.

To enter the competition, upload a scanned drawing of the artwork (in JPEG format, not more than 5MB)

"LET IT SPROUT"

Medium - (Sinhala / Tamil / English)

Category

Grades 6,7,8,9 - Junior Division (750 - 1000 words)

Grades 10,11,12,13 - Senior Division (1000 to 1750 words)

Conditions of the Competition

Only the children studying in Government and International Schools are eligible for this competition
In the rear side of the Essay, the Principal of the School should certify the essay to be of the relevant student after placing the official seal
All essays should be hand written on one side of A4 size paper
The attached coupon should be filled and pasted on the rear side of the essay
