1 Open (50%)
Age 22 - 30
General Cadre -Degree
Special Cadre : 
IT and Bio System : Subject Related Degree
Engineering Tech : Degree or HNDE,NDES

2 Limited (20%)
Age Below 50 years
Teachers and Principals can apply

General Cadre
Degree Holder  (5 Years Experience)or National Diploma in Teaching  (7 Years Experience)or Teacher Training Certificate  (7 Years Experience)or Sri Lanka Principal Service (5 Years Experience)

Special Cadre
Subject Related Degree (5 Years) / subject Related Diploma Certificate of National Colleges of Education ( 7 Years) or Teacher Centeres ( 7 Years) or HNDE,NDT,NDES,DT for engineering Tech


3 Merit and Service (30%)
General Cadre
3 Years Experience in SLPS Grade I
Below 55 Years
